Visit of Hans-Ulrich Trosien to Uman

On October 16-17, 2018, the expert of the Association of Employers in the Field of Hotel and Restaurant Business in Germany DEHOGA, author of the concept of tourist development of the city of Batumi (Georgia) Hans-Ulrich Trosien visited Uman. Mr. Trosien, at the invitation of the Federation of Employers in the Field of Tourism in Ukraine, under the national project “Tourist Clusters 300+”, conducted a working trip to existing and potential tourist clusters of Ukraine.

Within two days, the expert conducted an open lecture for students studying in Uman in the field of tourism and hospitality, took part in a round table with members of the tourist cluster West Cherkaschyna, and met with representatives of city and district authorities.

Also, with the support of the President of the Uman Tomorrow Foundation and the tourist cluster West Cherkaschyna Oleksandr Fainin, Hans-Ulrich Trosien took part in wine tasting by the Uman wine-maker and sommelier Igor Maksymenko, and also visited the Sofiyivka Aborteum, the grave of Tzaddiq Nachman and the exhibition devoted to the soldiers of the ATO in the State Reserve “Stara Uman”.

“The visit of a the high level specialist is very important for us. The DEHOGA experience can be used in the process of organization of our activities. Our tourist cluster West Cherkaschyna is already fully ready for work, an operational team has been formed, a series of activities have been carried out, there are agreements on cooperation with the authorities and educational institutions, “- says Oleksandr Fainin. – “We are sure for succeed and intend to attract foreign investments for the first stage of the recreational development project of the region.”
