For 2013 the UNESCO World Heritage List in Ukraine has 7 facilities of 981 in the world: 6 sites by cultural criteria 1 – Wildland. Among the candidates for the World Heritage List are also 13 sites located in different parts of Ukraine. This UNESCO World Heritage Sites includes two biosphere reserves : Carpathian Biosphere Reserve and the southern half of East Carpathian Biosphere Reserve (Poloniny National Park and Uzhok National Park) as well some protected Presov areas in the eastern Slovakia .
